Please forgive the title, it isn't exactly right, I just couldn't think of the correct wording
I have learned a lot over the last week. I know diet requirements, all about toys and how to make them, time commitments, general health care and all the other "technical" things I need to know to keep Pepper happy, healthy and here for a very long time. I know that even at this young age Pepper is trying to imitate the quiet tongue clicking I do in response to his calling when he can't see me, and I know that he will give my mother a death glare when she tries doing the same tongue clicking... I know that when he is happy and really gets to playing being near my face is a bad place for him to be.. very little difference between the collar on my shirt and my lip when both are in reaching distance!! I know he likes rice crackers, soaked barely and that vegetarian antipasto smells good to him, even if when he did steal a bite he spit it back out before stalking off indignantly "spitting" to get the taste out of his mouth and most importantly I know that if I HAVE to leave him home for some reason I can expect him to take up residence in my hair for a very long time after I return home until eventually he falls asleep (on his side) clinging to my shirt. ( pictures! http://genlisae.wordpress.com/ Please excuse the "fuzzy" Have not gotten to a new camera yet. Once I do though, there will be a picture posting frenzy, I promise!)
What I haven't figured out yet, is how to tell the difference between one type of lovebird and the next, much less tell the various peach-faced mutations apart! All my hours of searching have produced either very technical written descriptions or limited pictures that don't actually explain the difference between two birds that look very similar to me.
Anyone have any idea where I can find all of this in layman's terms preferably with pictures illustrating the differences?
