Looking for a Travel Cage for Macaws

My Wife and I will be taking a road trip and would like to bring our B&G with us however, I am having a hard time finding a travel cage for a Macaw....any ideas?

I use a modified dog crate. Unfortunately, it doesn't have a grate at the bottom so I deal with dirty tail feathers. I have found this source online www.eclectusparrot.com/travcage.xlarge.shtml. Every time I go camping I wish I had purchased it, but I am having a problem with paying this type of money just to go camping 1-2x a year.

VariKennel used to make a nice one with metal grates for the side vents. Unfortunately, now all you can find are ones with the plastic backs with holes punched in there and with the can opener that is attached to a Macaw's face, those models get redesigned with larger holes in the rear.

I have one of these and like it but they were made in Italy and it seems they have stopped making them or maybe just not supplied here in the US anymore. I had found one place with a reasonable price on it but by the time I could pull the $ together for it, they had sold their stock.

Here is a link for ones being sold on eBay but their shipping is sky high. Something is wrong if they are charging $42.33 to ship to me.
