Well I have decided to adopt out loki. I found a wonderful woman who has another lovebird and parrot experience willing to take him.

The woman I got him from was obviously lying when she told me he was hand tame and I believe she lied about the age too. I still see her selling lovebirds on kijiji. I suspect Loki is a breeder she wanted to sell. I believe he will have a much happier life with another lovebird and with a stay-at-home mom who has the time to spend. I feel absolutely terrible giving him away but my heart just breaks for him, he must be so lonely :(:(:(:(

I hope all goes well, she is coming by tonight to pick him up....:(

Just want to say this is not a matter of lack of patience or lack of love. I feel within my heart that I am doing what is best for him and it is very very hard for me as it is...

Making the decision had to be the hardest part~ Good luck to Loki!

Thank you, It has been a hard decision to make and I find myself still bouncing back and forth. One thing I am happy to say that I have made the woman soooo excited about bringing him home and I am glad that I could create that feeling in someone. I hope I am making the right choice......arrrrrrg :(

I am looking for either a conure any type or a pair if available in the northern new jersey area

I am sorry it didn't work out the way you hoped and glad you found a way to get Loki into a "set"

I asked the woman a TON of questions and she is very knowledgable when it comes to parrots from what I can tell......I hope this is his forever home. I feel awful guys....

Bogo, what is a "set"?

Man i'm really sorry to hear that.

At one point I almost got right of Peeps. I'm so happy now that I didn't!! Good luck :)

Thanks. Well he is gone now. The woman is very nice and soooo happy. I believe he has found a great home.

I am still waiting for an experience like all of you have with your birds....I feel sort of like a failure at parronting....

You'r not a faliure you did what was right for Loki and that's the best thing any of us can do

I felt terrible when I had to give up Merlin as I felt I was letting him down but from what I hear he's doing awesome and I get to see him 2moro
I know I MADe the best choice for him and I can be happy in that as you should be in your choice with Loki

Sorry you feel so bad Beilana and sorry Loki had to go. I know you made the right decision, because you care for your fids, you want what is best for them and this is all any bird can ask of you:). So although it may hurt now, in time, I think you will feel happier about it.
