little update

Hello! I wanted to post an update about Fish, since i think we're actually getting somewhere. Its a little into the third week of having him, and he's become more talkative and is pretty comfortable when it comes to me holding him, but not getting him away from his cage. He will sit down on my shoulder sometimes and just nibble on my hair, and a few rare times he has let me cup my hand around him and he'll just sit there and close his eyes. In my eyes he's doing incredibly well, but what do you all think?

Clearly, he is doing well!

May want to double think the 'holding' him. Most Parrot do not like being held unless they have developed a strong trust bond with their Human.

Very well indeed. He is preening you! That means you are freinds ! And to close his eyes while meaning bon you shoes great trust!!!! Huge trust!!!! Birds like having the sides of their face stroked, even lightly striking over closed eyes, or gently rubbing the side if the face, the top of the head, and just at the edge of the head as it goes to the neck. Be gentle and slow. Your bird has definitely chosen to be your freind! So happy for yiu

thank you all and for my first post, i phrased something wrong, when I mentioned him being comfortable with me "holding" him, i meant him just being on me or on my shoulder, but thank you for the advice, i truly appreciate it.
