Our galah has a fatty tumor that we are working on reducing through diet and exercise. At one point the exterior of the tumor developed a wound that we almost healed but he then re-opened the wound. I would like to use a liquid bandage to protect the wound as it heals and provide a barrier to his picking at it and re-opening it. I am concerned that the many liquid bandages on the market are for dogs and cats and may contain ingredients that are toxic to birds. I would like to hear from others who have dealt with similar situations and can provide advice and possibly recommend a specific brand of liquid bandages.

To care for your galah's fatty tumor, use a liquid bandage and consult your avian veterinarian for safe, natural alternatives. Research products and ingredients to avoid toxic substances. Consult your veterinarian for personalized advice and tailored recommendations.

Personally I would not use liquid bandage on a parrot wound. Aside from the ingredients, all the parrots I know would have it off in a matter of seconds anyway.
