So instead of posting a new thread everytime something new happens I've decided to go the route other users have an make a thread for it. To start, have a video!

[ame="https://youtu.be/iCzfJ9qbjo4"]New favorite toy - YouTube[/ame]

He loves little cat toys apparently which is nice since that ball and 4 small jingle balls were like 2$ at petco. Put 3 of the jingle balls on a string to dangle in the cage so he gets to play with that and one is left free. I can stick almonds in them too so it works as a cheap and easy foraging toy that keeps him busy.

I've taught him how to give "kisses" too! Since my computer is right next to his cage he likes to climb down and visit me while I'm playing games so I'll teach him lil tricks to keep him busy so we both win. His kisses aren't much of kisses he just nibbles you a little but hey it works.

Well, you have clearly started with a great video!

Great idea! And a great way to keep a running 'scrapbook' of the World of Lincoln!

Look forward to virtual updates on Loving and Living with Lincoln!

I'll see if I can get a video of him playing with the strand of toys because it's so silly. He'll just hang upside down and try to get the almonds to fall out.

Ummm..I dunno about that! Licoln will have stiff competition with HRH...Chief Nigel! :rolleyes: And with the Rickybird as one of his henchmen...I mean "body guard"...things could get dicey..

As for Lincolns new toy...he already has you trained.."I'll drop it,and Mommy will pick it up"..it's working already! lol

got him a vet check up because family is going on vacation today and we needed to board him and the place requires it. Everything is clear aside from the feathers but that's nothing new.

Earlier today he was being cute so I took a few pictures. included a picture of his feathers condition as I was talking to a friend about it. I'm really hopping it'll clear up with time.

I just dropped him off at the boarding and I'm already missing him. I stuffed his cage with a lot of his favorite toys and a bunch of almonds and gave him lots of love. The shop owners and staff are very familiar with ekkies and we agreed a lot on all the do's and dont's so I do believe he is in good hands but can't stop me from worrying.

got my service dog to be yesterday and Lincoln is very jealous of her. But he does not fear her in the slightest and has already put her in her place. I'd say I'm off to a good start.

Yessssssssssssssssss!!! That's what I'm talking about! I'd feel a lot better about boarding places if more of them enforced this requirement. Not fool-proof, of course, as some diseases can only be detected while actively shedding, but still! Most impressive.

And I'm glad to hear all is well with his veterinary report aside from the plucking.

Congratulations on your new dog. Is she already trained to be a service dog, or is that something you have in mind?

Also, just a reminder to maintain distance between Lincoln and your new dog. Never forget that, at heart, dogs are predators and parrots are prey. Stay vigilant. (I know I'm probably preaching to the choir, but I wanted to make sure and put that out there.)

she isn't trained yet, as she's just 8 weeks old but it's something we are for sure doing. I'm very careful with Lincoln when he's close to Seph, I'll have to be holding him or very very close by. Normally I wouldn't let them be close at all but since she's to be a service dog I want to expose her to Lincoln as much as i can so she can just ignore him in the future. So far she seems to not have really any interest in him which is really good.
