All of our parrots "talk" to some degree saying "hello" "pretty bird" etc.....but let me tell you that Sally the Quaker Parrot is SMART! She not only repeats words we say im tell you that she is having conversation! She says 'Bye bye" when anyone put on a coat...if anyone is eatting something "want a bite". If you tell her no she says over and over "that looks good!" Do you like that? mmmmm i want a bite"......if its parrot friendly and you give her a bite shes all "mmmm this is gooood" She tells us she is going to take a bath before she does it.....If someone is upset she asks "why you crying?"
She laughs at funny things on TV. I mean she has different degrees of laughing from a giggle to a sinister evil cackle. She barks at the cat when it is too close to her. Its almost freaky how much she knows what she is saying and not just mimmicking us LOL There are dozens of other things she says and does. I have never owned a large parrot like a Macaw but of any bird I have ever had she is hands down the most intelligent!
