Life is more exciting with animals

I'm a youth librarian, nice quiet job librarian, sometimes.

We have had a bearded dragon visiting us the past couple weeks, my nephews. Today we had an electrical fire thanks to a light that went crazy. So I'm standing outside in 34* weather with Frank the 2' dragon wrapped in a towel, zipped inside my coat with his head sticking out my collar. The firemen thought it was amusing. Thankfully after an hour things were back to normal except for smoke and the need for an electrician.

It seems like there is always some crazy adventure when you add pets/animals. I wouldn't have it any other way!

Goodness, glad everything turned out safely! Firemen generally have a soft heart for animals in distress and often perform heroic efforts to save them. Many departments have specialized O2 masks for animals!

Glad everyone was OK! I'm sure you and Frank were quite a site standing outside! Lol!
