Letting budgies out for the first time

Any advice would be much appreciated in how to get them back in and any way to do it the first time.

I got my parrots back into their cage by giving them treats in the bowls inside their cage. I made sure they watched me put them in the bowl, then sat down and went back to reading my book. They both went into the cage, I clicked the clicker, said good birds and closed the door.
