Hi

Does anyone know are you able to have a leg tag removed.
As today bash got a part of one of his toys trap in his leg tag. I got it off and he seem all good going for a wee vet visit to be sure but I worried incase this happens again

Thanks elaine and bash

I think you would have to go to an avian vet for that. It can be done, but only a vet can probably safely remove it.

Thank you elaine and bash

Truly great information provided above.
Sadly, leg bands greatly increases the chances of being caught in any number of objects including the cage itself.
Today, most bands have little meaning beyond the use of the Breeder.
Very happy to hear that Bash has survived the happening with no ill effect.
It is possible that Bash may nap or sleep a bit more than normal over the next 24 hours.
