Hi, I will be flying with my Sun conure to Florida the 24th of this month, I got the cabin kennel for the flight and Im going to the vet tomorrow to get a health certificate, But he doesn't have a leg band and he never did, Is this going to be a problem at the airport

No, that shouldn't be an issue! Many parrots are flown without leg bands, and as long as it's not a state that requires leg bands (most don't care unless a specific species, and a sun isn't one!), it's no issue whatsoever.

I'm a little late seeing and replying to this threrad. I just traveled from and back to Florida with Pritti. Leg band and health certificate were not required by Florida or New York. I've read that some airlines insist that water be available for pets in the kennel. Jetblue never asked or looked, but I carried two small crocks for water and pellets, which I put in kennel once on board. I suggest carring a ziplock with cut up apple or red peppers or something juicy for hydration while in the terminal or if there is a long car ride - that will help keep him hydrated. Some say not to feed the bird during this type of travel. I think it's stressful enough and if the birds wants to eat, let him.

Berries, apples and juicy vegetables should be provided if the bird will eat them! Water could spill and small food could make quite the mess.... unless one went with sprouted seeds and added a little water to them?
