Kyro is doing exceptional with his weaning:) he barely eats any formula during hand feedings it was 2cc this last one so i usually have some chopped up veggies and/or fruits available at all times and he ate most of it! his crop is nice and full:) I'm SUPER proud of him:) Do you think its time to take away the afternoon feeding or attempt lol? He LOVES his blueberries! he'll do anything for one so i think thats our new training treat:) He will scream when he's hungry but thats it and over all he's just the best bird i could've ever hoped for!:) AND MORE!!

So heres my question He will eat ANY fruit or veggie you put in front of him which im not complaining at all lol but he will NOT eat pellets! he takes a couple bites and thats it he sits there starving and screaming! once i put some veggies he scarfs them up and stopps screaming so Does he have to have pellets? is there any other food i could use for a base? i know i have to keep changing his food every few hours but I have work and school and such, what can i do??

I don't have personal experience with this but I read that if they won't accept pellets try soaking them in water to soften them up a bit. Hope this helps!

If you look around online there are some wonderful recipes for making food for him at home. There are lots of recipes that have a variety of nuts, fruits, veggies and grains in them. It's alot more work but the most important thing is for your little guy to be eating well. ;)

Yes, what I did was soak them in with a lil bit of the formula. If not try water and I read some people soak them in fruit juice like apple juice or something. How's he doing?

O sorry forgot to mention that i have soaked them. i used water, water and warm, apple juice, but he would rather have his veggies! i use apple juice soaked pellets for my budgie's every 2-3 days or so, he used to crush them up idk if he was eating them though but now he simply dont want them.

for the recipes is that good for a food i could leave for him all day? i dont mind the time it takes i just need stuff that will last for then a few hours so he'll always have food!

Robopetz he's doing great:) very energetic, his aviator should be coming in tomorrow sometime so he'll be able to go places and be better socialized!:)
