I remember when we got him and he wouldn't even touch his pellets! Now hes grabbing green beans and FLYING OFF WITH THEM to eat them in private! He's only ever done that with things like grapes / pecans!!!!

Now he made a huge mess, lol, throwing corn, mashing up green beans / peas on his beak so he might as well eat baby food, lol, but still! Huge step!

Of course, it's only frozen foods, we can't get much fresh foods atm, but I'm just glad he's choosing to eat better!

That's wonderful! My guys all love their frozen veggies, and once they were eating that, then most started trying the fresh stuff. At first I was cooking the frozen veg, but they seem to like it better now that I just thaw it under running water:)

Yes, it made me so happy! Especially considering when we got him he would only eat things like seeds, and bread. And then he got a taste for chocolate milk...

But now he's on a pellet diet, and working towards veggies. I even cooked him an egg (one of our pullets has been laying 1/2 sized chicken eggs and my dad refuses to eat them since they're too small, lol) with pecans mixed in it, and he ate the egg! Of course the pecan will still super yummy ;) but I'm glad I have a good option for protien now.

How exactly do you cook an egg, though? I used Wesson vegetable oil since I've heard Pam (flavored Pam) is bad, but wasn't sure. It came out kinda oily.

I hard boil the eggs I give mine, and after I peel off the shell I put the shell in the microwave for 90 seconds or so to kill any bacteria that may be left. Then I crush the shell and add to the egg. I also add some bell peppers to the eggs as they seem to really like that.

Ok, ill do that next time. It was like 1/2 an egg so it probably won't last too long - he was munching down on it like a mad man!

You are doing a great job, your persistence certainly paid off.
As for the mess..... you will get used to it, part of the package.

Haha, honestly I wasn't that persistent, he did most of the work. We left some corn out and he got into it, and I found this mix of corn, peas, carrot & green beans and hoped I could trick him.. Welp, it worked!

LOL, I'm used to it already, just wished he hadn't dumped it on my dad - he's not so used to it.

I also managed to cut his nails last night.. Sheesh, was that a chore. Made one bleed but had quick-stop-powder on hand which is a blessing.

I really love how he's coming along. I'm looking into come carrot recipes, as we often have lots of carrots yet he refuses to look at them. Perhaps I should hire the bunnies to eat it in front of him, because he often turns stuff up until I, or some other animal, begins to eat it. Lol, little stinker!

My Alex loves her eggs scrambled. I just mix it with a couple of spoonfuls of water and then do it in the microwave. It only takes a few seconds and once it has cooled down a bit, Bundii wolfs it down.
