Adopted my handsome guy 11 years ago today! That makes him about 21, as he was about 10 when we got him. He has come so far since then and never ceases to amaze me From being un-handleable and mean to just about the best bird anyone could ever ask to have. He is very social but not clingy, enjoys going out, does not scare easily, understands what is expected of him behavior wise and behaves (for the most part, he is still a parrot) and has a variety of amusing behaviors/noises. Such a happy and well adjusted birdy
Since I have toys I’m saving for after the baby to keep him occupied/not feeling abandoned, we kept things simple and just celebrated with a birthday pomegranate (and a bit of peanut butter on toast this morning). We also went on a special trip out yesterday, which he really enjoyed as well. He very much enjoyed his special treat tonight and made a HUGE mess of it Not sure which he enjoyed more, the pomegranate itself or the messy nature of eating a pomegranate The first one should theoretically be a short video but may or may not work:22:
Just because this was a nice picture from our adventure yesterday, he was hanging out on the dash watching the buzz of activity downtown. So intrigued!
