I'm super excited for my boy- I just ordered his new carrier. It should be here late next week/early the week after. I can't wait to start taking him out with me:D He's going to be SOOOOO happy. Between this and the training I think he may start to like me even more than Joe;)

Awww, that's great Kiwi!! I'm so happy for you that he's coming round to the mommy side! ;)

I hope he'll come around to my side, especially if I ply him with fun activities;)

We have the same carrier for our eckkie,he always goes with my parents camping.
It's really great for making long walks with, they even shop with him in there.
You will have fun with it for sure!

SWWWEEEEET! I'm not gonna lie, I'm green with envy! I LOVE those carriers so much!

Oh yeah, I think you will win Kiwi over with this. Just think of all the fun things you can do with him together, in the great outdoors. :D

Definitely going to do the walks. Don't know about taking him into stores though. I'm thinking he can probably come on short trips down to the post office and to "outdoor venues" like the farmers market, flea market, yard sales the garden center and stuff like that. We'll probably be going down to the Oregon Gardens again this summer (love that place!) and I think he will really love going there. Glad to hear someone else has good experiences with these carriers though. Not too many reviews online, but people who did seemed to have overall good reviews. They look to be well designed though with the dishes, places for toys, and somewhere to buckle him in. I never felt safe with his travel cage in the car because while I could run a seatbelt through the bars, if we got in an accident or even a sudden stop, I was always petrified of him hitting those metal bars. Mesh would be much safer if there ever was an incident in the car, so I'm happy about that. Depending on the design, I may reline it in the same fabric his sleeping hut is made of so he feels more cozy. They choose the worst colors (IMO) for tropical birds who are probably used to bright, colorful toys and environments. Anywho, I'm just so excited to have this opportunity with him:D

Lucky! I want one of those carriers really bad, so I can take my 2 on errands, walks, etc. Let us know how it works out!

That is an awesome carrier! I think Kiwi is going to love his outings with Mom:)

I have that carrier too. It is perfect for taking Aleta to the vet, or when we have to drive a few hours to visit the in-laws. As long as she can see me, Aleta is happy, so I just open the "curtains" and she is happy to sit in the car with me.

It was suggested to me from the store I bought it at - put a rubber washer in between the metal pieces that holds the cups on (on the outside of course!) Otherwise, the cups will spin and dump all the food / water out. Now I haven't tested the this without the rubber washers, so I can't say for certain, but I do know I haven't lost a cup with the rubber washer. :)

Thanks for the rubber washer tip! I don't want him to go without food or water, but I would prefer it not make a massive mess if at all possible:20:.

It's true let me say that ;)
Will pass the tip on to my mother.

I'm glad to know this before Kiwi has no food or water while we're out and said water has spilled down my back.
