Hi guys!

Just finished my painting of one of our Budgies, Kitty! Puppy will be next then onto the lovies.

Thanks! She’s great. I got her at the pet store, she just seemed so docile. The associate said she was the easiest one he’s ever caught out of the cage. She’s a gentle soul and I love her.

Thank you! We are enjoying everyone a lot. They’re very sweet, though Luna our albino lovebird is a feisty little thing. She’s mostly sweet, unless she gets into a mood. My first painting I ever did was of my childhood budgie, and I was so proud of it and still have it. I wanted to paint my birds now and was so happy how she turned out.

I'm a bird artist, too, and I really admire the dramatic lines and poses. They really pop!

Oh thank you! I was surprised at how well she turned out. I wanted to make her more dramatic so added in the dark background. That really did her justice. She’s very sweet, especially being a bird from Petco. She also has a leg band, Puppy was bought from a breeder. He was said to be handtamed but he’s less docile than she is.

They didn’t have names for about a week. My fiancé was told by his boss that he still has his “puppies and kittens,” and that sounded just so incredibly perfect for them. So it stuck! Fiancé isn’t so happy about the name but I think it’s grown on him.

Kitty has such a sweet personality. Puppy has really attached himself to her. He can only be handled if she’s right next to him. We love all of our sweet babies. Now to get my fiancé to build me a birdie playground! Lol. Though I may end up doing it myself.
