That is incredible.

I SO want to do that with my Perjo (CAG, 19 weeks). Do you ever lose confidence in the harness and tie downs, that's they'll break and she's gone?

That is my biggest fear.

And what is a good age to start this type of training?

I've been trying to get Perjo to fly from perch to perch in the house, about 2 feet apart, and she just doesn't seem quite ready, she's not confident IMO.

Check the harness each time you go out. If the bird is well trained, it won't fly away even if the harness breaks. I started training Kilaya the moment she was fully fledged.

Sometimes I fly my conures without harness.

Love these videos. What harness and leash are you using?

LOL, that looks like a hoodie in the last video.

Great job. I have been working with BB more trying to get harness on . So far NOT working. Hit his neck and he freaks out :(

Awesome..beautiful..EXCITING!.. I have never seen a Grey "fly" before..so fast and powerful :D You have done a remarkable job. I just love the video of the conures and kids, they must have been so excited.

I would love to do that with Amy..I just don't know how,or even where to begin. It would be awesome to take her to a park and let her stretch her arms..majestic

Start with indoor recall and then proceed to outdoor using a harness. Increase the distance gradually as the recall progress.
