hello, since its hot and thats when all the bugs come out i thought i should share some pest prevention tips to keep our pets safe . cinnamon repels ants and can be sprinkled over fresh fruit and veggies to keep aunts from getting to it. for those of you who who feed feral cats, to stop aunts from getting to the food you leave out, draw a chalk circle around the dish. chalk repels aunts like cinnamon does. to catch mice humanly, take an empty bucket or similar object, and place it on the floor. balance a ruler half and half over the bucket and put some peanut butter on the end of the ruler. make sure it is placed so that the mouse has a way to climb on the ruler. the mouse will climb to get the peanut butter and fall into the bucket. then you can release the mouse in the woods or a feild . you can also take a plastic container with a lid, and cut and x into the lid, kind of like the hole for a straw in a cup of soda. push in the flaps. fill the container with nuts, seed, apple, whatever you want. the mouse can squeeze through the flaps, but not back out. then you can release it. if you have fly traps or bug zappers, place them so birds and other wild life cant be harmed by them. for those of you who live near bears, string you bird feeders on ropes between trees so bears cant get to them. please share any of your pest prevention tips
