Jacob a sun conure who found me!
So, I went back to CL, remembering that a lot of owners post in another section. Not the pet section, but lost and found, there is also a sub section for Long Island that most people do not use and a lot of people don't even know about. Said and done I went back to that one... AND low and behold a missing Sun conure... BUT, owner says he whistles, is 3 years old and went missing on the 23rd.. Now Jacob don't whistle, and was found on the 21st. However, I am thinking that maybe owners mixed up the days being upset etc, I have sent an email requesting a picture (looking for band/no band), as well as exact date of the conure escaping them, he would if so have flown from Freeport which is not too far from me, maybe 5 6 towns over.. 20 minutes with car.. I doubt it is him, but am hoping, not that I don't love him but it would give such a satisfaction to give him back to his rightful owners!!!

Wow, I love how you're going above and beyond to try and find his owner. Fingers are crossed, but I know in the meantime he's in GREAT hands. :)

That is awesome that your trying to find his rightful owner.

No, not him...
He wasn't exactly sure when his bird was missing as he had not interacted with it for a few days from what I understood. The girlfriend just told him one day he was missing.. He was emailing from a phone so I might have missunderstood it.. either way, he has never had his wings cut and Jacob did have an odd cut when he came, and this bird had a ring and Jacob don't.. So...

I sent him to the rescues etc cause he posted in a section of CL that most people don't look at... So that he can give out his info there so he has a better chance of getting his birdy back...

Well, wont give up quite yet...

Ya you get to keep Jacob.

It's awesome that you are a still trying to find the owners!!!
