Hi guys, just need some opinions.

Has anyone ever used Kaytee Kay Bob Natural Bedding? I want to buy some and use it like kitty litter for the tray of my Java tree. Right now I'm using puppy training pads but it's getting annoying cleaning the entire area over a couple poos in one spot.

I worked at a parrot shop recently for a few weeks, and they had been using some sort of pellet litter for beneath their trees, but I didn't get the chance to ask what it was...

The product page claims the ingredients are just natural dried corn cob, so I assume it's safe? Any suggestions for alternatives would be welcome.

It's harmful if ingested and can create molt spores. Wouldn't personally recommend it.

What about using paper? Such as newspaper, newspaper end rolls packing paper, etc?

I could do that, I was just wondering if I could use something where I could just scoop up a little poo here and there rather than changing it all. It's one thing to change their cages but the java tree has to have something stuffed under it so they don't ruin the ottoman it's on, so it's a bit annoying. Oh well, guess I'll just have to deal.

Mold* not molt

I'm not sure that there's any ideal substrate out there as they all have their pros and cons. There's the paper substrate, but I can only imagine that stuff would go flying...
