I planted a big garden of stuff this year. I have bitter melon (which im still not sure is safe), string beans, all sorts of peppers, zucchini, squash, tomatoes, cucumber, sprouts, cantaloupes, and water melons.
Does anyone else garden 4 their birds?

It is still snowing off and on here, but as soon as it stops (if it ever does) I am so planting things for the birds this year. I am going to have one section for dandelions and can't wait to see the neighbours' faces..lol.
Your garden is looking amazing!

Lol I have been getting weird looks from people visiting, when they see my planter full of dandelions. As if I am confused or crazy...
I love growing my own veggies. I admit they are not all 4 Kali:-p I LOVE the flavor of fresh food... there is nothing in the world like it. I need to plant some corn too and I think that will be it for this year.
We also had a late spring this year. I normally have much larger plants by this time.
What other plants are you planning to put out?

I see you got a good selection growing. I grow for my birds also, lots of greens and herbs. Also squash and zucchini, safflowers, etc. I'm doing pumpkins this year up the trellis, mostly for the blossoms. My birds eats tons of flowers and flowering stalks lol!

Your birds are going to be spoiled to this summer:-) I never can get pumpkins to grow! It is the only plant I have ever had trouble with. I don't know what I do wrong.

My grandparents home has all kinds of apple trees and they never treated the trees. The apples often come out lumpy and have lots of bug bites. If you can get past the look, they are pretty good. I will probably get buckets full for Kali.
I love living in the country... you can always find fresh produce and fruits for very little or free.
