I just brought home a Lutino Kakariki, male, and 3 months old.

I was wondering if anyone on the forum owns one, and what can you tell me about them. what u like or don't like.
I'm already impressed with his crazy antics, curiousity, hangs upside down, eats holding his food with one foot, and is super hand tamed.

he's in a large flight cage, but when quarantine is over, I would like to put him in with my 3 cockatiels, who are also is a large flight cage... do you think they would get along?

thanks for the advice. All of my pet birds are tucked away safely in our bedroom behind closed doors. we have 4 cats and 3 dogs.
all receive many hours of free flight time
I'll have to figure out how to give Cedric free flight time when I'm not in the bedroom, but home.
Our bedroom is 'bird proofed' but will focus on what would be potential dangers for him.

A beautiful bird. I never knew they were different as I always thought there were lovebirds. I am going to google them just to get some info.

Best of luck with your new baby

I do not remeber who but someone just posted a thread about that type of bird within about the last week or so. You might want to check it out:)

really?...ok thanks aliray. the bird is so inquisitive he's forced me to clean our entire bedroom from top to bottom. I never know where I'm going to find him, he's so darn curious about everything now. he picks up every spec off the carpet, and prefers to chew on the ends of tassels from a blanket.
How can I possibly give this bird plenty of free flight time if he requires constant supervision? I'm not in our bedroom for hours on end, which is where he is set up.
I want him to be safe, and live a happy healthy life like all my birds, but my biggest worry is he will get himself into trouble :(

Sounds like you are going to be very busy:D

I always like a new challenge. He's better today, not so inquisitive, just perching and eating alot.

I checked out the thread you were referring to and pm'd them with more questions.
