All my birds have their different little " ways ". My greencheek I have to open his cage door . Let him climb to the top of his cage . The put a hand behind him and my finger in front of him to step up . We do this everyday If I was to reach in his cage to step up he bite the crap out of me . After he has stepped up I put him on a playstand . I do this with most my smaller birds [ they want to play !] not see you. Then I visit him on the stand and eventually see if he wants to come with me . Try that [Great Pictures ].

Sweet pics, Lauren! There's obviously a strong bond between the two of you. It shines through in each and every photo.

Don't lose heart. Hormones can play havoc with their temperaments. Add a tough molt to that mix and they can get downright irascible! Just ride it out. You'll get your special girl back.

Such great pics of both of you ! Hang in there, I'm sure she will become 'herself' again. If it's hormones, the first time can be pretty bad (for owner AND bird), you'll be okay

Absolutely beautiful photos! Tiki is wonderful to look at. Beautiful colors. I think it's just that time of the year, my harley is being a hormonal male and molting(his first) and he's kinda cranky and sometimes wants nothing to do with me. But other times he's all about me. Just wait it out, Tiki will come around.
