Just joined!

I just joined this website a few minutes ago.

My name is Caroline, and I own two parakeets. Their names are Mika and Bogi, Bogi being only one year old and Mika being about three.

They're both full of personality, but Mika is more bold. Like today, he just escaped from his cage! His cage is large with many toys, and he of course has Bogi, but he loves flying around my room. I'm providing him with toys such as feathers and paper though that distract him from trying to get out.

Anyway, I adore my little birds no matter how difficult they get, and I'm glad I found a website where I can simply talk about them!

Mika is the blue parakeet, and Bogi is the pastel one.

It is rather amazing. Though it took me almost two years to get Mika to even get on my hand, it's really worth it.

They really invade everything though, haha. First the desk and such, now the ground, and I'm sure Mika and Bogi are going to get into my bed soon, because they seem interested.

Thank you! I too love all of the vibrant colors. I really want to get an albino parakeet in the future, and a yellow one.
Yep! I have had a female, she was Mika's first mate, but she sadly flew away while their cage was outside during a move to a new state. Their cage was smaller than Mixie preferred, and when I opened the cage to feed them she didn't hesitate to fly away. Now I want to stick with all males, since they seem much more calm and outgoing.
