Unfortunately yesterday was one of those days that as soon as i came home from work i had to sit down to pay the bills and tracking down paperwork which meant i was up stairs away from the birds. i was only in their room (living room) very briefly for dinner (normally most of the night is spent with them, during the day my wife and son are in there all day). as we were getting ready for bed poor ell was not happy i had not spent much time and kept calling for me with the "where are you?" yell. i yelled down from upstairs "its ok elvis i'm right up here" she then yelled back a very happy "HI BAH BAH!". shes always said that off and on but its always been a quiet one, thats actually the first time she's yelled it.

apparently lol, its something she brought with her from her prior home. i'm assuming thats what someone called her. she'd say it when i was around but i never thought she was saying it to me until last night.

when she says it, it sounds like she means bubba but it comes out as bah bah. we actually call my female shepherd bubba "as in she's my bubba (baby)" not sure how it ever morphed to it but it stuck and she responds to it, we started that way before elvis though.

A www my Amazon use to call me dad...he'd yell DAD! WHAT R U DOING! And id yell back whatever I was doing then he'd say WHATEVER! And if I didn't go get him he'd say AWWW.. i love when animals love their humans.
