Okay, so this morning when I got to work, (school bus driver) one of my co-workers said...HEY! Is there a parrot in that big yellow cage just past so and so's house?

I said...What? What big yellow cage??

So he described exactly which house and of course I made sure to check it out on my way home. Sure enough there is this big round yellow cage outside in their front yard with what appeared to be a big blue bird in it.

There's a lot of trees and shrubbs and the cage is rather far off the road, so I couldn't get a GOOD Look, but good enough that I had to question it.

Not wanting to look like a stalker, AND because a semi was coming up on my rear, I drove home.

It's really bothering me, I mean..what if that really WAS a bird in that cage...then I'm thinking..IF it was, it was definitely a macaw...but not just any macaw...definitely a hyacinth macaw!

Then I'm like...NOOOOO...No way....there is NO WAY someone out here would have a hyacinth macaw and make it live outside in these conditions...no way...but then again, I've seen worse animal horror.

On my way BACK to work I drove by really slow and I was SURE I saw a bird in that cage, definitely too small of a cage for the size of bird...just seemed too fishy to me.

But I couldn't convice myself 100% so I turned around and pulled in the driveway...because I just HAD to know...and I was SOOOO relieved to discover that yes, there is a big yellow round cage in the yard and YES there is a big blue macaw in the cage...but it's a fake.

PHEW! I was ready to confiscate that bird right now!

Well, it's good you checked. I'd have done the same!

Though it makes you wonder if they have a real one, too, since they liked decorating their yard with a fake one.

One of the guys from the electric company knocked on my door in December to ask, "Do you have a really big bird?" He could see Pete through the window apparently.

Such a relieve to find a fake bird LoL I was shaking reading the post thinking the worst.
You natural instincts kicked in....... well done you did do the correct thing, now you can relax.

A few years back I saw a car parked in a rather peculiar spot. I drove past and saw the driver slouched over the steering wheel. I drove past, thinking was it a plot, so when I stop they highjack me (remember we live S.A. need I say more) I drove on thinking what if something was wrong with the driver, been shot, injured etc. I even thought what if I read in the papers someone had died in their vehicle, and I just drove past. I went around the block, sussing everything out (well what I could) no other car nearby, so I parked a distance behind the car. Walked over and saw a young lady was holding onto the steering wheel crying. Her window was a bit open, asked her if she was okay. She lifted her head and said please help me. I managed to open the door, through the open window. Blood all over the seat and floor, the poor young lady was having a miscarriage, she was 8 months pregnant.
I called for an ambulance, and her husband. Unfortunately the baby did not survive. They thanked me, had help not arrived when I did, she would have bleed to death.
Thank God I used my better judgement.......... otherwise........ let's not go there....
