Just built a Finch Aviary

Had to have more birds and didn't want to make Birdie jealous, so decided on Finches. Built a small aviary (7'L x 4'W x 10'H) on my screened back porch. What fun it is to watch them flitting around, bathing in their fountain, picking on their hemp string, playing in their Timothy hay, and singing their hearts out! I have two European Goldfinches, two Pied Parrotfinches, and two Seagreen Parrotfinches. They are a joy. I have my coffee out there every morning and my cocktail every evening. Anybody out there have Finches?

I personally dont have finches because I prefer more hands on companions but I looove the look of them. Gouldians, zebras, and owls are my favorite finches.

I ran into a lady with a male Eclectus at the vet today. I go to an Avian vet that also treats Dogs and cats. She's had the bird for 25 years and he was serenading us with all kinds of phrases. He kept saying, "I'm sorry," much to the chagrin of his owner.

Yeah.. I always feel bad when Lincoln says sorry. I got a tad upset with him over something and put him back in his cage (I dont remember what it was over) and I just hear "Bad bird, I'm sorry" broke my heart immediately >< They know how to play us.
