~Alexandrine Parakeet~2 Red Lored Amazons~Blue Fronted Amazon~Black capped conure~4 Green Cheeks~4 Parrotlets~2 lineolated parakeets~9 American budgies~9 English budgies~ And lots of babies :)
The babies will be six weeks old tomorrow. They are down to 4 hand feedings a day and they are only eating between 2-4ml per feeding. They are both flying, the one baby just fledged yesterday so she is a bit wobbly still. They are eating millet and soaked pellets and drinking water on their own, however I take their water bowl out at night and if I'm not home(that's not often) just because I'm still afraid of them possibly falling in the dish and drowning.
The guy that is getting one of them(possibly both, we wanted to keep one but I think he had planned on getting both of them) came over today, he is going away for the weekend so we are bird sitting his budgie until monday. He brought his daughter along and I got some cute pics of her holding the babies, she was so good and gentle with them, I didn't know until after they left that she is only two years old! I just wanted to share the pics, they are so cute!

I also wanted to ask, at what age can they get baths? They both have formula stains all over their breasts and wings and it's driving me nuts!

Those are some of the most adorable pictures I've ever seen. Thanks so much for sharing those with us. I think they made my day!

Pedro told another poster it was ok to wash up some younger babies to get formula off of them so it's probably ok for you to wash them gently. Yes, I try to learn new things on here, too:) I definitely could use all the learning about young babies that I can get.

Oh , now that's a cute picture :)
So precious , the both of them , lolol.

Aw so cute. I love baby bird pics.

So I was just giving them their last feeding of the night and the little eager beaver decided to plunge her entire head in the cup of formula...

lol, I think I'm going to have to install a "no diving" sign :p

You can give them a bath right now, I would do it during the day when it's warm out and I shut the air off temporary until they're dried off.

Oh no, lol! Oh, poor thing really made a mess of itself, I shouldn't laugh!

Yes, have had kittens do that once I got them to lapping instead of using a bottle. They will crawl right onto the plate and lay in it as they drink:rolleyes:

How adorable :D. The kid looks very comfortable with the tiny budgies!

Thats so funny, my babies have tried that but the dish I keep the food in is too high for them to get into. They must have been very hungry.lol.

Both of them are flying now so they will fly around and then land on the side of the cup. It's so nerve racking having flying babies, the male thought it was a good idea to try and land on one of the amazons this morning, I almost had a heart attack! I completely understand now why this is Mikey's favorite time lol.

I hope your amazons are as friendly to other birds as mine is! It's the 2 girls that keep trying to beat up on him, poor guy.

yea...no... our amazons try to eat anything that comes near their cage, including little birdies so it was quite a scare when he flew over there!
