Kiwi-3 year old Nanday Conure, Loui-5 year old Gold-capped Conure!
I finally got the birds seperated. So far Kiwi(Nanday) has been so much more active and friendly its like she's an all new bird. Sunny(Sun) still wont let us do anything with him. Kiwi was out all day yesterday flying around the house, she landed on my mom and grandma's head, and on all 5 of my kids heads. When I tell her "come to momma" she jumps from whatever she's sitting on to my arm instead of biting before. I say come to momma and she flies right to me. If there is anyone beside me she'll land either behind me or on the other side of me. But I'm so happy that she's starting to come out of her shell. She will land on my arm and then walk up to my shoulder and just sit there for really long periods of time. I wish I could get Sunny out of his mean thing but no matter what I try he just wont. But I'm super impressed with Kiwi so far. She likes to try and be sneaky. She plays hide n seek with me. I'll walk around to find her and then suddenly she lands on my head and squawks at me almost like she's laughing. Its great. I'm super glad I bought them even though its been a painful week and a half with her biting. LOL. :green2:

That's so great to hear about Kiwi. I'm sure Sunny just needs a little more time. Just try to remember some birds take longer than others to adjust to a new home and owner. He could take several weeks or even months. But, seeing Kiwi accept you should help a lot.

I really appreciate all of everyones help. I imagine I'd be pulling my hair out by now without it lol. I'm thrilled that Kiwi has come to me. And stopped witht he biting. But thank you all so very much.

We are all just glad you are giving Kiwi and Sunny a whole new life. There are just so many birds and animals out there who don't have an owner like you who cares, and learns about them.

That's great to hear!!! Just remember it can still happen when she becomes moody again. But usually pretty good once they're bonded to you.

Love that she is playing with you now and loved the story! I agree to just take time and he may come around especially if he sees her having so much fun :).
