Well this is something I wouldn't have thought of, when I started feeding Spencer from a syringe, he'd shake off the excess and of course it landed everywhere on me from my hair down, I needed to be hosed down. Brings back memories!

I do NOT miss hand-feeding if for that reason alone....:54:

Quite a cute and funny video. Thanks for sharing it :)

I was laughing so hard. I watched that video three times. At least that macaw didn't take off flying around with formula in his beak. Valentino does that. He will fill up then TAKE OFF FLYING. There is still formula in the lower beak so he dribbles it out of his beak while flying. The formula gets EVERYWHERE. Gravitational droplets all over my house. The other night while I was feeding Valentino his night feeding he took off and was flying in circles above us and Lupe take a magazine and puts it over her head so she would not get hit with formula. I was laughing so hard I could not breathe.

I try to make sure there is no formula left in that lower mandible before Valentino gets the urge to fly. "Drink it all up" I tell him before I let him get crazy. LMAO.

Your video was so darn adorable. With the mess being somewhat contained it was very cute. I was loving it.

Thankyou everyone for the kind words, i thought some of you might smile at it given the strange technic,

Noblemacaw, i shortened the vid but she does try to fly after words, she is testing the lift off power. :blue1:

That is a cute video. I can guarantee if I'd been using the cup to feed Roscoe, most all of it would have been on him & me than in him. He did take one feeding a day, most days for about a month after coming home & he was a bouncer when he ate.
