Jinx - Blue Fronted Amazon hatched 12.06.2012
I forgot to bring this up earlier today on jinx's ring round his leg the ID number says 3 pkbirds 12 it says the exact same on the dna sexing report but on his birth certificate the ID number says 13 pkbirds 12 is this a slip up or is the 1 there for a reason as on his ring and dna it only has the 3 at the start and no 1 any advice would do me a world of good as i need to know if its ment to be like that.

Not sure on yours but I know on Jax DNA paper the breeder said she didnt know if she made a mistake when she sent the sample in or if the DNA company made a mistake. His legband is VAT-850 but his certificate says VAT-450. We are working on getting another printed but she said it was a mistake.

His band and DNA report match perfectly but the birth certificate is differant as it has 13 pkbirds 12 on it instead of 3 pkbirds 12 I don't know if its a slip up or if its right.

Im not sure about a birth certificate, I didnt get one for Jax. ive known the breeder for fifteen years so she just called me and said."the baby has hatched" and I wrote it down. Maybe the breeder can tell you for sure. I always thought that all the documentation had matching numbers.

Well its confirmed its wrong as his ring and Dna report have number 3 at the start which is right but his birth certificate is wrong as it has 13 on it instead well this is the second time its been wrong first time it was his name the ring number was spot on and so on but i looked at the name and said to ken my breeder I'm pritty sure his name is jinx not jasper lol then he said that useless woman hahaha I think he was meaning his wife as she does all the computer work.

All numbers match with my Sam (& other 2 fids) on both DNA and Hatch certificates and band. It's just a little human mistake, Paul.

Will you get it replaced?

Yeah I know we all make mistakes and yeah my breeder is posting another one out I won't get it until Monday as the post doesn't come on Sundays hear but its all good. :D

Well at least they are fixing it again....useless woman hehehe. Fingers crossed that all of "Jaspers"paperwork is right this time...lol. Scritches to Jinx

I got the wrong hatch cert for Merlin at first, but my breeder fixed that for us. Basically a R/S was jumbled, so she got in touch with the person missing the other cert etc.

She printed a new one with the right band number and added his name! :)

Useless women? :20:
LOL Na it's just a mistake glad he's getting it fixed . :D

I would check with the breeder to make sure there isn't another bird of his with that other number that sexed female. Just to make sure there wasn't a band number mix up when the blood was taken. Honestly, it sounds more like a typo anyway. In the USA hatch certificates are just a little nicety some breeders do. I don't do hatch certificates as they don't really mean much. I could put any hatch date or number on them I wanted to and if I was dishonest, I could sell the birds as younger or older than it is. People feel its more official if they have a piece of paper. It doesn't mean much though. Not like an American Kenel Club paper for pure bred dogs( or the UK equivalent).

:11: He might not even be Jinx!!!

Whatever his paperwork says, he's your bird, Jinx...

There were only 2 chicks in jinx's clutch him and his brother jinx's ID number is 3 and his brother is 6 as it was a friend of mine who got his brother lol which is good because I only have to pop round the cornor to see him and the other chicks are from other parents and none of there ID numbers has 13 on it I'm not bothered to much as it is been corrected and my breeder has posted me a new birth certificate which will come tomorrow so its all good. :)

Ohhhh and also jinx hatched on the 12th June as the breeder wrote it down and then called me to let me know the date he is a well respected breeder and was highly recommended to me by a friend who got all her birds from him he has 40+ years under his belt and is always honest and willing to help. :D
