Hi,
I'm looking for some help or answers before I take my 2 year old Jenday Conure to the Vet if needed.
I live in a basement apartment with my Jenday. Her cage is located right next to a window so she gets sunlight during the day. I change her water daily and keep everything clean. I recently changed around her cage. Kept a few of her old toys but added a few new toys and perches for her. I also got her a new bed because the last one was pretty chewed up. The new bed has red fur inside it which her old bed had blue fur she loves rubbing herself up against the fur so the only thing i can think of is the fur is being rubbed off on her eyes.
A couple days ago i noticed her eyes having a red type rash around them. Her personality hasn't changed she is still dancing around playing with all her toys and coming out of the cage. Her poop is fine and she is eating ok. I really hope someone could let me know the possibilities and things i should look out for or if there is something wrong how to treat it.
Thanks,
