Thanks to the guide from Uglow I was able to save a ton of money and make Jasper two home made flight stands!
When I went home for Christmas I brought the mic stands/perches and my Dad was able to make them for me. Total cost for everything $100 - total cost if I had purchased online - $300.
He did it a tiny bit different, he ended up making the entire top piece one unit so the wood won't get worn when I take them apart (I keep one together and the other stored away when not in use). There's 3 screws holding the main perch in place.
Jasper was a big chicken when he first saw them but now he'll happily go from one to the other. Starting with them as close together as possible and we'll go from there.
Here's some pics I took when I was at home!
