It's been a week since Jasper arrived. He still runs from me if I get closer than 4-5 feet. I've been sitting with him in the evenings reading him H.P. Lovecraft stories. Last night he decided to talk back. I got him on video tonight. This is the only sound he makes. 'Too veterans, can you read anything from his behavior or sound? He did eat in front of me tonight, a first. I offered him a nut which he wouldn't take and then I put it in his dish. He kept looking at me and then it and finally gave in and ate it while I was watching. His light is off for the night but I can hear him making his squawk.

Now there is a Parrot that will be wanting out of that cage fairly soon!

Not sure what your goal(s) is, but if Jasper coming out! Its worth trying reading after you have opened the door.

Making sounds when no one is around is practicing! At a some point Jasper will become comfortable with the sounds and you will start to hear them when you are around (in-sight).

Enjoy!!

Haven't heard that exact sound, but seems to be a contact call.

I would think Jasper will soon be interested in exploring his environment!

Some toos are notoriously shy about eating in front of people, but none of my Goffins have ever exhibited that behavior. Hopefully in time he will comfortably take food from your hand.
