While filming in Australia I had so so much trouble finally being able to film these little guys. They are so tiny at only 13 CM and they dont stay put very long as a rule. This is Australia's tiniest parrot. Do you know what it is?

Excellent Mikey! They are indeed.

These little guys were filmed in a graveyard in Cairns of all things. It was nicely planted so was very appealing to local birds. I was surprised at how fast these little tykes can fly. Those stubby wings can propel them through the air at astonishing speed!

Double eyed fig parrots, lots of sub-species, have to look it up.

Good on you Ratzy for being so studious. Yes indeed several subspecies and the one in my film is the subspecies Macleayana. Brightly colored little faces and one of the most colorful of the lot. I have some footage of a beautiful little male but a female or youngster offered the best footage. I had to edit out the soundtrack of quantas planes taking off and people on bikes visiting the graveyard where the little guys were filmed.
