BODE: Nanday Conure (5 years old)
KIWI & BLUE: English Budgerigars (RIP after 10 years)
It's official! We have a new addition to our family. The pineapple green cheek female who lost her original home and was sent back to her hand feeder came home with me today. She is just the sweetest thing! She has been dna sexed a female. She talks quite a bit and loves snuggles, lays on her back, and is pretty funny to watch which is nothing new to conure people! I've added a picture of her scoping out her new food! She is currently molting so not in the most beautiful feather, but I saw some pictures of her so RED when she is not molting. I'm excited for that as well!

I'm very excited and happy and can't wait until she adjusts to her new home!

FEEL FREE TO SUGGEST A NAME!!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

I think she's gorgeous. May I ask what molting is? I'm sure I'm sounding dumb but don't want to stay curious.

Name suggestions: Ruby, Tara, Lara, Fifa, yeah I like short names.

Short names are great, so thank you for the suggestions. Molting is when birds go through their feather shed and they get new ones. You shouldn't see bare patches or gray spots, but they can look 'shabby.' My other guy, QuackQuack the Amazon, is also molting, so we are one shabby looking family ;)!
Thank you for the compliment - I think she's pretty snazzy looking myself :D

Oooooh! The red is beautiful!!!! I'm terrible at naming my own pets so I won't even try to help others :p

She's gorgeous! Congratulations! How about Bella?

QuackQuack:
Dun mine can upload ur amazon pictures to share with me? Since u mentioned ur amazon is on molting period, cos I having some problem on my bf zon feathers. As well can show me the dropping feathers? Dunno how dose a molting parrot look like.

Anyway u have a very nice conure...

Wow she's beautiful!!!! I usually don't like pineapples with lots of red, but yours changes my mind completely! She's definitely an exception :). I just got a pineapple girl too, on Thursday. Twinsies!!! :D But I can't even think of a name for my own .

Mine too and her contented chirping to herself sounds a bit like oinking :D! I am considering Pickles and Kitty for names LOL Her name is currently Kiwi, and she seems to know it. Kitty might be easiest for her, but I just want to get to pick a name because QuackQuack sure didn't let me!

Haha awwww!! Kitty and Pickles are such cute names! If you name her Kitty you can have a duck and a cat lol! It'll be like your personal mixed-up zoo :D. Do you have other pets?

LOL! I love it!! I will say that I have a mixed-up zoo now ;) We have a little dog, a pekingese. She is a piglet! She makes pig noises and no barking, so she fits into this mixed up zoo I'm constructing! She isn't well right now, but when she is I will tell you what she thinks of the GCC!

I snapped a picture of her sitting on the ledge of my lap top so you can see her color more clearly. You can also see the blemish on her beak really well. When she was younger she tried to make friends (she is very friendly with other birds) with a grouchy, older bird that grabbed her beak with his beak. The blemish will eventually grow out but poor girl!

 Oh no!! Poor thing :( Such a shame that she was attacked for good intentions. What beautiful colors she has though! I absolutely LOVE the mix of red and yellow on her chest!
