It's been 2 years

On December 20th of 2015 we began our journey with Nike. She has been nothing but a joy to us and fits in with our animal menagerie perfectly. We think she is somewhere in her 20's.

She's been flighted for a couple of months and this is her new favorite place. Now we have wax paper on our end tables instead of doily's.

Nike succeeded my previous Orange Winged Amazon, Berta, who I had for 39 years. This is Berta right before her death.

Amazing how time moves by so quickly and how quickly they moving to our hearts!

Berta looked to be a sweetheart, sorry for her loss.

Its funny - you'd think that with a flighted bird you'd be forever chasing them around the house, but it really seems wings are more for picking better spots to snooze in!
