Trial and error is a wonderful thing.
Blu being a relatively new addition to our household as of perhaps seven months ago... is the stranger of my two budgies. Whenever he can he is out of the cage, sitting on top and singing.
Until now I couldn't accommodate anything on top of the cage as it stood simply because the table we had them on wasn't sturdy enough.
Well.. I got two new side tables that are PERFECT for the cage and this means accessorizing the top for Blue.
And this.. is what we came up with.
Almost a penthouse on top with their sleep cage/ carrier cage for short distances. The cat carrier is used for longer distances like moving or vet visits.
Blue however prefers it up there.. and will spend an entire happy day singing inside of the tiny cage that never has the door closed....

After so many pieces of advice, its come full circle; including a toy corner, grapewood perch (homemade) and of course the bungie and hampster wheel.
