It's a Girl

Ohh that's so cool! We once had a cockatiel who we named thinking he was a boy. His name was morice but then 2 years after getting him he/she layed an egg! So after that we named her Marie. :)

I don't know what's going on here... when we first got Chicka she loved my hubby, not long after she arrived he found her chewing the remote. When he took it from her she got a fright and has been terrified of him ever since. It was so bad she'd just hear his voice and take off to her cage. He has been trying to coax her back ever since with very little success.

This morning he walked passed her cage, she leant out to him and has been snuggling in to him all morning. Does anyone know what this is all about?????

Chicka finally has a positive identification

Mel, that's great, watch out for all the "boytjie birds"

She is highly hormonal, that's all. All birds get very amorous when hormonal. I have a grey who hates to be touched but, during breeding season, she is a pest about cuddling.

Ahh thanks. I thought hormones may have something to do with it, but wasn't sure, the turn around from being scared to all over him was so quick. My hubby's making the most of it & hopefully this will show her he's not going to hurt her
