So, here we are on, on a hot and muggy Monday eve. I had a long, tiring day at work, which left me in a less than tolerant or pleasant mood, so only spent an hour or so with my handsome little Lovebird, Valentine. Oh, well, he certainly wasn't having that. That was a few hours ago, I had cuddled him, kissed him, fed him dinner and a while later, around 8:00pm, put his little birdy butt to bed...
WELL! That was the plan. An hour later, I had a ravenous, hyper little lovebird, dying to come out of his cage. So, of course... spoiling the little angel (BRAT!) I allowed him to come out of his cage and cuddle with me. And then let him sit on my laptop as he often does. Well, he didn't just sit on my laptop tonight and sing. He was running around my laptop, playing peek-a-boo from behind it, trying to pry my keys off. He even managed to put my browser on fullscreen which took me a good 5 minutes alone to figure out how to undo... (F11 if your little feathered friend ever gets you into that particular situation.)
He was running up and down my back, on my butt, down my legs to my feet and back again, just having a grand ol'e time. He's usually not so playful, but I guess he felt it was necessary to spend more time with me and keep my attention all on him. I'm glad he did. I feel so much better that I spent more time cuddling and playing with him. It's amazing how these sweet little birds with such intense attitudes (Chihuahua syndrome much?) can make a person so happy even on the most wearing days.
So, finally... At 10:15pm, I put my little Valentine to bed, to which he happily and willingly hopped into his happy hut with a few quiet peeps good night. I love how my little Valen can be just as vibrant as the feathers on his little wings.
I just felt like sharing this pleasant experience with my little tot with you all...
So, my questions is, does anyone else have any sweet or exceptionally loving experiences with their feathered children?
