Our Amazon, Paco, is quite arthritic and has a little bit of a grip issue on plain metal bars (although they are square), I was wondering if a small amount of vet wrap might help fix that issue?

Would this be safe to use if supervised and removed when things start unravelling from being chewed upon?

I've used vet wrap on my PVC playstands for close to a decade now.

It's safe.

It needs to be replaced every once in awhile, but it's safe to use.

Great! Thank you :)

I also use vet wrap - it works really well!

i think its safe. but, i have some cheap brand of vet wrap, its like the generic store brand. would that be safe? or stick to normal brands.

same stuff.

FWIW, I've discovered that it's a good idea to finish wrapping your perches by stitching the vet wrap in place at the ends. It has a tendency to unwind itself over time (especially when helped by inquiring little beaks) and just a stitch or two will hold it in place for you.

I use it to cover java wood perches which tend to be slippery.

I also use it to cover chain links on toys.

Great tip and very easy to do! Thank you!

I also love the idea of covering the chain link on toys. Appreciate that Crimson!
