I got this from Woodmans the other day while I was grocery shopping, I have seen it there for a long time but I figured I would give it a try, it works good on getting poop off of things, but the only thing that concerns me is that it smells lemon scented, it is fairly strong right when you spray it but the scent goes away quickly. I was just wondering if anyone has used this product before or knows if it's safe. I had the birds out on the porch while I sprayed this, but you are supposed to be able to use it around birds. But yeah, I just want to know if anyone has experience with this product.

Only thing I see that makes me nervous is the ethanol (alcohol) and vapors would be my primary worry.

I use to work at woodmans in kenosha ...anyways i would not have my bird around it when i was cleaning. But then again i only use vinegar and water to clean or i use a mixture of lemon verbana and lavaender mixed with water....i also own 8 sugar gliders which are sensitive to smell.

I use birdie wipes only on places that Kyo happens to poo (like the floor) and I didn't notice for a while. I try not to use it in places she will be in direct contact with, and if I must I rinse with vinegar and then clean water after.

Maybe things are different with chicken and I'm a dork, but I never rinse off vinegar. The smell goes away when dry. then with chickens it actually is good to keep away a few bacterial issues. I actually add apple cider vinegar to their water some times. (they seem to like it as well)

Is there anything to worry about with a parrot?

I don't THINK so, but I'm overly cautious about it just in case.

I use white vinegar to clean the front windows of her cage, works just as well as windex. When its dry you no longer smell it.

I spot clean, then change papers, then wipe bars with a little water and paper towel plus a dab of EFP dishwashing soap. So far, so good. Like everyone else has said, it's best to have bird removed if you're doing a more thorough cleaning. I also have one of those great little bar-scrubby tools that takes care of dried-on messes. The cleaner looks good, though - I'll be on the lookout for it myself!
