I have had a dog rescue before and still work with dogs with major issues just no longer for myself but other rescues. As Im poking through this forum I notice that several birds have been adopted by members because they where in dire need of a new home. There are two rescues here in Ga, one seems nice and legit the others I hear concerning things on.

Because of my livestock I am not willing to continue with dog rescuing it was a hard choice to make.
The big question is, is there enough of a need for me to consider branching out and helping animals this way. Birds are far from being cheap to house and feed, my vet is wonderful so not a huge worry there. Is there enough "business" to not sink into a complete bottomless pit? I never came close to breaking even with the dogs or horses but it was a justifiable loss and one I could still know I was doing something good and feel good about it.

One rescue I dont know which charges 1200 per bird to take in and a monthly fee of $35 until the bird is adopted, I can understand the reasoning behind it but dont find it very practical to be beneficial to the cause, however I am not in that situation.
