There's a pho restaurant by my work that always serves me heaps of fresh thai basil on the side even when I tell them I don't want it. You're supposed to eat it with pho (Vietnamese soup that's mmm mm good) but I like my soup without it. Seems like a waste if the parrots would enjoy shredding / eating it. It's in the basil family, looks like a basil and has a strong minty flavor.
Several online sources say that basil / sweet basil is safe but makes no mention of thai basil. Does anyone offer thai basil to their birds?
