Is it safe to move my IRN back into room?

I've been keeping my IRN in a different room for a few months now
because I have been worried about exposing him to some varnish in
my room.

Two doors have been varnished and despite months having passed
the surface still feels mildly sticky. Could this still pose a danger to him?
or will it be safe to put him back in his old room now given how much
time has passed?

I'm aware that some varnish may never dry full if not applied correctly
but I'm not sure if this is even the case or how this would effect birds
in it's vicinity.

Sorry if I sound like a broken record by asking a lot of similar questions
but his safety is of the utmost importance to me and at the same time
I want to resume the same level of bonding we had before.

So, how old is that varnish? Those stories from the past of months to dry was prior to drying agents being added, long ago. A couple of weeks because the applications where too thick, and/or an addition coat over a surface that had not dried, okay. But two months, and still tacky, not a good sight.

If the aroma has gone, it is likely safe, just leave the door(s) open.

We had decorators over and they used their own varnish so I'm not sure.
It's been a little over 3 months now since the varnish was applied.

Leaving the door open all the time wouldn't really work because of our dog.

No aroma that I can smell, but I might have just gotten used to it because
I sleep right next to the door.

I recall this now. If it is still sticky, the only choice you have, well, they have is stripe it all off and start-over. This is the sad reality of using varnish that has been poorly stored, poorly applied, and/or not rotated out!
