I was just looking at the post on the forum and 8 of the post I've replied to have hundreds of views but no other replies, is it just me or am I being parinoid? I try to give advice only on matter I have firsthand knowledge of but I'm by no means an expert and I just hope no one thinks I'm being pushy since I'm new here it's just I have been having a lot of extra time to read post here because this job I'm doing is running sooooo slow. I always check back on post to see if someone else has another take on my reply or a better idea.

Dont worry about it!! If you look at any post, you will normally see there are more views than replies!

Many people read posts here to learn about their birds because they do not have much experience with them. Because they do not know anything to add, they just read and move on. Even though I have almost 50 years experience with birds, many times there is nothing for me to add. And I am not the sort to just post a reply to increase my posts or "thanks". Don't take it personally. This is an open forum, and if you want to add something, great. If others choose not to, just as well. Just enjoy yourself. :)

Hello, friedsoup. No, I doubt anyone will think you pushy. I also work from home which gives me more time on the computer between tasks. Like you, I don't claim to be a parrot expert. Yes, I owned a cockatoo for a lot of years after inheriting him from my grandfather. But Petey was already trained and set in his ways so it was more taking care of his needs than training or fun times. He was a venerable old bird of 98 years when he passed away. Now, I have an ADHD rainbow lorikeet who is absolutely nothing like Petey. I've just been so lucky to have a fantastic vet to guide me through his early years and his ungodly puberty behaviour. This forum has been great for hearing what others do with their parrots and also making a few friends. My only problem with the forum, however, is there are so few topics or threads regarding rainbows. But the things I have learnt have proven invaluable . . . no avocado and how to toilet train (and its working). I've even replied to a couple of your posts because they are helpful. So relax and enjoy. In 50 years our parrots will be ruling the world anyway.

A lot of the views are probably from non-members who can't post, they just read.

For sure. If we didn't all try to sound like we know what we're talking about, no one would take our advice!
