OK I have never had a bird do this and I am trying to understand why Jellybean is always doing this when I am near. He is bobbing his head at me, and it makes me think of babies begging for food. He's now 9 months almost 10. Even our 4 month old lovebird never did this. He also is constantly mouthing my fingers, I don't know if he just wants to taste me or if he thinks I have food.
Did I make a big mistake by giving him too many treats or something? I like to give them various foods all thru the day and pellets are always inside the cage. I was giving him a separate bowl of just dried fruits and nuts on his play gym for a while. I did stop that when I realized he was eating almost no pellets.
