Is central heating safe for parrots?

We have central heating and there's been no issues. Just call the company of your furnace brand and see if any of their parts contain teflon.

we have it, but i am assuming you mean radiators etc, we don't have ours set to full, as nut for some unknown reason likes to sit on the one in the main room when its really cold out, my only concern is she could chew through plastic caps etc so i just keep an eye on her

I think most people probably have central heating of some kind. The hard part is if you bring home a new bird and need to quarantine it because you can't provide it with it's own air supply. Any disease it has could be spread throughout the house with forced air heating.

I used to have radiators. I suppose as far as not spreading anything through the house, they were safer. I suppose I also didn't need to be worried so much about a gas leak since they ran on fuel oil (off road diesel, basically).
