IRN's vs. Alexandrine's

I'm considering a 2nd bird, and an IRN is a big possability. How do they differ from Alexandrine's, and if any of you have an Alex, does it get along well with your IRN? Is your IRN louder then your Alex? Also, I knw this isa dumb ?? but is there any difference other then color with th blue IRN's? We really want a 2nd parrot, and also a buddy for Alex.

I've heard IRN can be more aggressive and nippy, I've already got conures for that so I went for the Alex.
I presume the blue and green is just colour mutation and that there would be no difference in personality? /shrug
I'm sure more knowledgeable people will be along shortly!

I've also heard that IRN are more aggressive, especially at the bluffing stage, they gets really nippy. And IRN needs to be handle at lease once a day to keep them tame during the first year. Beside that, ringneck makes great pet. My friend have one and it's beautiful. There's no difference between the colours.

You can also have a look at the African ringneck, I heard that they are quieter and likes to be touched and are more cuddly than a Indian ringneck.

Def handle my bird more then once a day And I never heard of an african ringneck!!!! I'm intrigued!! I wonder if they are popular here in the states? Thanks for sharing that info... and yeah I did hear about the aggresivness...oy!

Yes, Indian ringneck and African ringneck looks the same to me. I have no idea telling them apart. Lol. I live in Australia, and I never seen one either. Glad I helped you, well, kind of. Hehehe

African ringneck is slightly smaller. They're beaks are a darker almost plum colour with black in.

Africans also has a shorter tail. This makes them look smaller
