Parrots
Budgerigar: Arrow, Esther, Kratos, Cora, Ducky.

Lovebird: Izzy, Gizmo.
Small kine late but just an update: I decided to go the budgie route instead and I recently just picked up some of the cutest budgies .... eek :p!

Long story short...the ones I brought her were the ones Silversage and Amjokai rescued from the bird mill and cared for them until they were ready to be rehomed. The lady who had the three ended up not being able to take care of them so then Amjokai contacted me and, well, here we are!

They aren't exactly tame, but that's okay, I'll be working to taming them down a bit but hopefully after the quarantine they'll still be pretty chill with me and Arrow and Esther haha.

To the interesting part - the pictures !!!

After picking them up, they got a bit of socialization going to PetSmarts (the prices are so good tbh!) and PetCo for supplies.

Decided to make the place a bit more interesting during the Quarantine, will be adding in perches later.

This is Cora, the lil girl...her face is interesting theres a blue cheek patch on one ide and white on the other.

Kratos -- he loves to jump in the food bowls and eat inside of it haha

Ducky on the left -- he such a vocal boy and one who had a shovel beak (same as Kratos I believe). I think he's asserting himself as the alpha... a little bossy and mean but hopefully that'll die down.

Congratulations, Reid! This is wonderful news! I remember these little guys from their bumpy beginnings! They are so beautiful and so very lucky to have found their way to you.

I'm so very very happy you have them now. i cannot even say how happy I am with this final placement. We're surprised they even survived but to see how they've grown is amazing. I know they'll do amazingly with you. They were tame at one time so they will be again.

Congratulations! They are cuties. I am sure you will have them settled in and used to you in no time! ;)

Reid, Congratulations :D they're really beautiful. It's such a great feeling for you and Ariel and Dani too. I'm so glad it worked out that way :).

Nice that they were tame at one time. Keep consistent with them... you might get some more tame than others in the end, but a hand tame Budgie is worth it. Cute little study partner to hop on your shoulder ;)

Such sweet faces. So glad you got them. I have been thinking of getting a few..... but keep resisting LOL

Oh you've got to go get some budgies Christine, Big Bird would love to have pets of his own lol :18:! They're so adorable in person aren't they? Truly one of my favorite "parrot" species.

I still can't believe on how they were in the beginning! Dani and Ariel did such a wonderful job on creating a life for them,, and I'll be sure to make sure that their life continues to be amazing :p

They're kind of flighty when I walk in to change their food and water, I haven't started any major type of taming already. I'm giving them about a weeks time to just settle and to get assimilated

I'm going to fill in paper work for the job on Tuesday and I honestly can't wait to shower them in with toys and everything!

I would go for it! For one, you can't just avoid those cute pudgy budgie faces, and two, they are so great to have as a tame pet or one you can just watch and play. (from my opinions tho :D)

I'm going to be honest, if I do tame them down I'm REALLY counting on ducky :54: I was told he was the tamest so maybe my standards are too high haha!

They are adorable. Almost makes me want another. I especially think the ones with white are pretty. I almost got one with the same general pattern last week.

I agree! I'm always drawn to the white and blue ones...if they aren't pied haha :D
Out of curiosity, howcome you didn't bring the one with the same ish pattern?

Reid, congratulations! They are gorgeous! I am so thrilled they ended up with you:)

They're beautiful, Reid! And very lucky to have found a home with you. I look forward to reading about your progress as you tame them.

Thanks Terry and Stephen! (In Fact, everyone for their warm welcomes to the new babies!)

They're still settling in, but they're noise levels are starting to go up everyday so far :) I just got a pound of millet so I'm so excited to start training! I think they might actually be warming up, they don't necessarily fly away in panic or cling to the cage but they just stare at you a lot but I'm expecting some some-what friendly budgies by the end of the year :D:D

I'm so thrilled by this! Ducky was the worst off, so he got more babying, lol, and was the tamest. Kratos, if you look back at the old pictures, was the one with the worst poop balls on his feet, he couldn't even pull his legs under him and was forced to lay on his chest. He was really too old to begin hand feeding but we could not force ourselves to leave him there, so he never really has cared for us. At all. Lol. Cora didn't get her yellow wash until her first molt, her color is so unique! Also, she has always been soooooo tiny, like 2/3 or less the size of her brother or sister with similar markings, but no yellow (their names have been changed enough times now that I have a hard time keeping track of what they are called now). I'm so beyond happy that you brought them home!

I'm actually quite thrilled to know which one was which in the pictures I was sent, I was and still blown away on how much care and love you put into those little guys! I started noticing that Kratos was on the more skittish side, its gonna be hard to work with him but we'll get there. Speaking of Cora, I love her markings so much, especially her two different color cheek patches :3

I was told that since their mine now I can change their names but frankly, I'm not sure what I'd rename them and I'm not fond of changing their names anyway haha. (I like Cora's because of Legend of Korra though hehe)
